You'll see a window for setting up ElvUI the first time you run it. Go through the process and get it set up. Open that text file and copy its contents to your paste buffer. Then open ElvUI's configuration panel and choose Profiles.
At the bottom of that screen, choose "Import Profile" and then paste in the profile. Your UI will then change again to the demo UI. In theory you can use RP Tags on all of those unit frames, but they're most useful in your target frame, user frame, and party frames. We'll start with the target frame. Click on the Health tab. These control how your target's health is displayed in your target unit frame. The field we're concerned about is the one that says Text Format. For example, you could type "Health: [health:percent]" -- be sure to click the "Okay" button or else it won't save.
The "[health:percent]" part is a tag that's built into ElvUI. So, let's say we want to put the target's home town in that field.
The RP Tag for that is "[rp:home]". Once we set the tag, it appears on the target unit frame. Reminder, you don't have to use those text formats only for the designated purpose.
But what if three fields isn't enough? You can add your own by going to the Custom Texts tab. In the middle of the tab, there's a field that says Create Custom Text. First you need to create it, then you can set it. Don't forget to click on Okay to finish completing the custom text. From the list below, choose the name of the custom text you just created. This will let you configure the placement, the font, the size, the color, and the text tags. You can make more tags and move them around the unit frame, and you can freely mix and match RP Tags with the standard tags that come with ElvUI.

Profile to import is here. ElvUI is a full UI replacement. It completely replaces the default Blizzard UI at every level with a new and better interface.
It has multiple addons and plug-ins integrated into it, such as Dominos action bars and TidyPlates. This UI will arrange your interface to be more flexible and practical. Download ElvUI from Tukui. The version on Curse is outdated. Following the above link, you will find two addons to download: Tukui and ElvUI.
You need ElvUI:. If you had ElvUI previously installed, you'd get a message asking to replace the current folder - click 'Yes':. Log in to WoW. Click the 'AddOns' button in the left bottom corner of your character selection screen. Press 'Enter World'. We all know that they are present. Displays bind names on the action buttons. Actually, you can enable only Bar 1 and 2 or whatever works for you and disable all the rest. In enabled Bars, you can choose the number of buttons per bar and vertical or horizontal style.
It can be any amount from 1 to 12 or even 2 rows of 6 buttons or any other configuration that you prefer. If you want to hide an Action Bar in a specific situation, for example during a raid, you have to type. Tick Character specific Key Bindings only if you want different positioning of hotkeys on the bars for different characters. In addition you can have all the Currencies you want to track at the bottom line.
Datatexts are all the additional data that could be displayed at the bottom of chat windows, Action Bars and Minimap. You can also interact with the datatexts. For example, clicking on Time will bring up Calendar, on Durability - your Character Info, on Spec - will change it to the secondary, mouseover on System - shows your addon list with the memory used, etc.
There is a nice tab 'Currencies' where you may configure which currencies and in what format you want to see in Datatexts. There are a lot of options to track and to choose from but they are all very user friendly so I wouldn't explain them one by one.
All the rest - keep them disabled. You should disable all the Blizzard frames - keeping both Blizz and ElvUI frames creates unnecessary mess on your screen. ElvUI Raid Frames are very flexible: you can move and resize them, choose vertical or horizontal positioning. Any target data, buffs and debuffs could be configured separately for every kind of group.ElvUI and Legion are changes causing more bugs than I'd like.

This UI is fantastic, the Weak Auras are great too. I'd really love to see this continued into Legion, thanks for all your hard work! A Kobold Labourer. DBM is not yet working. Will consider how I want to handle this in the future. I'd like to address DBM and target cast bars next though.
I had all your previous UI's but this one is clearly on top. Hope you will stick around and update it. Able to donate as well! I would like to see some other addons you use just for inspiration. I think some other fonts than the standard Blizzard ones for the Item Tooltip and stuff would be nicer. Some of your WA's which I imported do not have Borders.

I don't know if that's normal? Should I use Addonskins? Might help some other people. Cheers, Boldboy. Last edited by Boldboy : at AM. Hello Guy, I use your interface and I like it. DBM is installed of course. You know why? All your bug fixes work so far!

If you want to change the size of all the Unitframe font, go to Unitframe- general Change the size of the font. If you want to change the size of an individual font.
Ie player Unitframe name text, you will need to create a custom text. The first couple of posts has a step by step guide for creating a custom text. Yeah there's a step by step guide for creating almost everything else, but I don't know what to type in the brackets to customize the font size on individual plates.
Maybe me and the others are blind, I don't know. Or we're skipping sections thinking that can't possibly in that section of the post. Could you kindly show me where, or if -by chance- you didn't add that code, could you edit your post and add it?
I've tried using it on the target frame but doesn't seem to work. Who is online Users browsing this forum: Google [Bot] and 1 guest.Users browsing this forum: Google [Bot] and 1 guest. Do not create a thread here if you just want to ask how to do something.

When selecting a player values seem to be entirely correct. NAME becomes entirely blank. I played around with it some more before I went to bed last night. I can set the values to a pure plain text value and the issue still occurs.
I'll get some screen shots when I get home from work in a few more hours. So you can see what is going on and perhaps have an idea. The latest master still does it. The left half is the "Player Frame" I left it in the screenshot just because.
On the right half is the "Target Frame" which exhibits my problem. Bottom right is how the target frame is always supposed to be and how it looks only when selecting a player; be it myself, a party member, guild member, horde or alliance. If I select a NPC then the target frame looks as it does in the top right which is wrong. As a test I made custom texts "health2", "power2", "name2" and they seem to be behaving correctly.
That was exactly it. I saw that option but left it alone because I didn't know what it did. Had I bothered to read the help text for it then I would have saved you some time having to deal with a guy that can't read help text.
